Employee Benefits Policy (Virginia)

1. Purpose:

​

Imperative Security Guard Services is committed to complying with all applicable federal and Virginia State labor laws regarding employee benefits. This policy explains the benefits available to full-time and part-time employees working in Virginia and clarifies benefits that are not required and therefore not provided.

 

2. Employment Classification:

​

  • Full-Time Employees: Employees regularly scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week.

  • Part-Time Employees: Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 30 hours per week.

​

Employment classification may affect eligibility for certain benefits.

 

3. Legally Required Benefits (Provided):

​

In compliance with Virginia State and federal law, Imperative Security Guard Services provides the following benefits to eligible employees:

​

  • Workers’ Compensation Insurance: All employees are covered for work-related injuries or occupational illnesses as required by Virginia law.

  • Unemployment Insurance: The company pays required unemployment insurance taxes to the Commonwealth of Virginia.

  • Virginia Paid Sick Leave (Limited Coverage): Where required by law for certain covered employees or contracts, Imperative Security Guard Services complies with applicable Virginia paid sick leave requirements. Employees not covered by such laws or contracts are not eligible for paid sick leave.

  • Social Security and Medicare (FICA): Required federal payroll taxes are withheld and matched by the company as required by law.

 

4. Benefits Not Required and Not Provided:

Unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated in a written agreement, Imperative Security Guard Services does not provide the following benefits to full-time or part-time employees:

​

  • Employer-sponsored health insurance Dental or vision insurance

  • Retirement plans (including 401(k) or pension plans)

  • Paid vacation or paid holidays

  • Paid personal leave

  • Life or disability insurance

  • Tuition reimbursement

  • Bonuses or incentive pay

​

These benefits are not legally required under Virginia State law and are therefore not offered at this time.

​

5. Equal Treatment and Compliance:

​

All legally required benefits are provided in a fair, consistent, and non-discriminatory manner. Benefit eligibility and administration comply with applicable state and federal laws.

6. Policy Revisions:

​

Imperative Security Guard Services reserves the right to modify, amend, or discontinue this policy at any time to maintain compliance with changes in law or business operations. Employees will be notified of changes in writing.

​

7. No Contract of Employment:

​

This policy does not create a contract of employment or guarantee benefits beyond those required by law. Employment with Imperative Security Guard Services is at-will, unless otherwise stated in a written agreement.
